Best baklava in Halifax. Their donair is also the best I've had, and their service is excellent. I can't wait to try more of their menu options.
Excellent coffee and food plus very friendly.
Very friendly - just had ice cream though
Friendly hosts in a very cozy restaurant with super ice cream
We just stopped for ice cream here! The man working, seemed like the owner, had a really good sense of humour. They have a big front patio to enjoy your food or ice cream on.
Amazing food, run by great people! Go to place for a hearty delicious meal. Their real lebanese dishes are great, really recommend trying a big combo plate
Was here today and had a falafel wrap with a side of lentil rice. My Fiancé had a donair wrap with a side of lentil rice as well. We also shared dolmas (grape leaves) and we took baklava to go. Everything was delicious and fresh! I would definitely go back and I would recommend trying this little gem!
After the owner told us his place was the best in the world, we found out it wasn’t. In our own community, we have some of the best Lebanese restaurants in the world, therefore we are spoiled. The hummus here did not meet our expectations and the pita bread was stale. The sandwich was ok, but like I said, didn’t meet our expectations.
We stopped in looking for shawarma, which they don't have. But the man that owns the place recommend the Shish Taouk, it was amazing! I will definitely stop here to eat whenever I am out this way.
Food was okay, not spectacular but staff was very pushy
Stopped in for an ice cream...left with some Lebanese food....delicious
They have been making the best donairs for at least 25 years!!
Loved this place so much! Food was amazing, staff was super friendly and knowledgeable, and the prices were fair. My whole family loved it! This is exactly what we look for in a restaurant.
Very friendly staff and great food no matter your taste
Food just ok. Owner added on $2 to bill for lemon slices in water. Really? Won’t be back. Took it out of tip, which I don’t like to do.
Great food. These folks are awesome.
Incredible flavor. Great conversation
Great Lebanese food
Hoped for the ultimate treat....and the pizza, heavenly. unfortunately and good for samira,s, renovations were in place. so we look forward seeing you again in near future. dbl thumbs up.
Eh, good home made hummus and falafel. Stale pita, chicken was eh
Loved it
A nice stop along NS highway 3
4 years is along time, I can barely remember last year. Not going to bash, I am sure the food is good, as they are still there.
Phenomenal food and the owners are so friendly! They are the only place serving ice-cream near the beach. Would definitely recommend!
I got a pizza there a while back and honestly it tasted like a frozen pizza, not good.
That salad was not to be ignored. Can’t remember it’s name Maradeera or something, served with lentil rice. Best part of our massive meal. All cooked fresh to order. Lovely host, was like having dinner at a friends. Falafel, grape leaves, pita/hummus, tabouli, fatayers the works. Perfect pickled turnips. But that salad was not to be ignored.
The hospitality is wonderful, yet the place is ready for a complete makeover. There is no real indication from the furniture or decor that this is a Lebanese restaurant. The family table and television mounted to the wall are also put of date. I was put off by the sign on the front door that said that if you wanted to pee, you had to pay... This was in poor taste and unnecessary. As for the food, I have had far better. The falafel was cold, bland and dry. It seemed to be made with frozen falafel, not fresh. Turnips were crunchy, yet the pickles were better suited to a hamburger.I did appreciate that the server, who was the owner took back two cans of soda that had expired the previous year.Having lived and worked in the Middle East, I are a lot of Lebanese food. The falafel was lacking and needs some serious attention.
Wonderful food and Lebanese coffee! Owners are great and very hospitable.
Good food the owners are very welcoming,
Super nice people and great pizza and lebanese food. There's also a convenience store and hard ice cream.
This place is also "Samira's Lebanese Cuisine". It's a convenience store, wait...it's a pizza joint, wait....it's a Lebanese restaurant. We have been here twice in 3 years (the two times we've been to the area). The first time it was by some good chance it was open late when everything else was closed. Was satisfied with the food choices, and 3 years later found it was still there. Really nice falafel, the donair had some odd sweet condiment dressing on it, but all in all, a place for small, quick eats. Nice people. BTW, google maps directs you to about 1.5 km short of the destination....keep driving.
Great food great people
Absolutely love their cheese fetoya and shish taouk! Always good!
Really, really overpriced. I paid over $20 for a fairly small plate of lentils and basic romaine salad and got a bottle of keiths and it was over $20. Nothing on the menu is exceptional its all standard lebanese fare. Its well done I liked the decor but the plates are small and basic. A takeout of 6 or 7 stuffed vine leaves is like 5 bucks. Theyre easy to make and cost nothing. Theres a sign on the front door that says the washroom is customer only "you pee you pay!". I also got mediocre service from the owner and he tried to upsell me like 5 takeouts before telling me the price. If you have the money maybe itd be nice as an evening spot after a day at the beach but there are better options in my opinion.
Great location for after beach but the place needs a thorough cleaning. Food was expired in freezer. Bathroom was unclean and the door lock did not work. The owner however seemed pleasant. .
26$ for 6 small dry falafel wrapped in ziploc baggies,2 small meat pies,a small container of tabouleh, the person at the counter said it would be better than anything i have had back home...not so sure...where was the kibbé,shish taouk and shawarma?even the garlic sauce was weak...nothing like the lebanese cuisine i have had back home.
Great food, very friendly staff and management. Good "Home Cooking".
Great food and people
sympathetic
